The Monkeypod Congas come in 2 styles,
Custom Traditional has handcrafted stainless steel hardware for the rim, hooks and face plates. With our Traditional hardware look as seen in the left photo above.
The Natural Fusion style comes with Curved Chrome Crowns (rim), hooks and faceplate (right photo above).
They both sound the same, the difference is Natural Fusion is chrome hardware with a full curve rim. Custom Traditional is stainless steel hardware with a half round shaped rim, and is a more expensive choice because of the stainless steel and custom hand workmanship. So the Natural Fusion is less expensive for those on a budget. Both available on either wood grade below. Both offer the same sound.
These are our original Flagship drums. The wood as happy in appearance as a Hawaiian. Beautiful grain with different colors within it and some of the most beautiful curl. Mango drums are what we built our name and reputation on. "Every Drum Is An Original". The tonality of these drums are fantastic. Our Quintos all produce crackling brilliant highs.
